Every business needs a solid foundation and a coaching business is no exception. Without a solid foundation, even if you start off with a big bang, it will eventually crumble like a house of cards.
Your foundation includes things like getting clear on your direction, who you serve and how you serve them, as well as logistical things like how you set up your business taxwise, how you get paid, whether you need insurance, etc.
Before even trying to work with clients, ask yourself questions like:
- What is your big why?
- What do you want your business to ultimately look like?
- Who do you want to serve?
- What challenges are standing in your way?
- What you are going to do to help you work through those challenges?
The answers to these questions will really help you get clear on your direction.
However, your business foundation also includes logistical things such as your business model, how you accept payments, insurance, etc. It’s VERY important to do your research FIRST. Talk to professionals to decide what is best for you and your business.
