Grow your Online Coaching Business Organically

We live in a digital world, and today’s audiences are active online where content and information are readily accessible.

When marketing your coaching business, potential clients look for the one who will give them a genuine connection and whose mission and vision align with theirs.

It doesn’t matter how amazing you are with your coaching skills, if you don’t know how to sell yourself to your potential clients, your business will starve. Having a strategy is essential to have a successful coaching business and be a successful coach.

So how do you market your coaching business?

Organic marketing is one simple way to go if you are just starting. Organic marketing doesn’t use paid ads or links to generate traffic to a website or social accounts. You don’t have to spend a lot of money especially if you are just starting.

Establish your brand

What do we mean by establishing your brand? As a coach, how would you pitch yourself to your clients? Who are you and what do you do? What makes you stand out and who is your community? Are you a business coach or are you a health and fitness guru?

It’s also important to find your niche, the services you offer, and how to get in touch with you. Research your audience and find out what they like and what their needs are. This way you can tailor how you present yourself and attract potential clients. Remember clear messaging is KEY to any marketing success.

Give valuable content

Think of ways to attract your audience. Give them content that adds value, something that is informational and educational. It doesn’t matter if you put out content every day, but if it doesn’t add value to you or your audience, then it’s useless. Write a blog, do a mini Q&A session on your Instagram Stories or Facebook Live. Create intentional and quality content. Don’t just post to fill your social media calendar.

Build your community

One of the best ways to connect with potential clients is on Facebook. Once you’ve built a following on your social media, create a Facebook group where you and your followers can interact with each other. By creating that space, you build a community that you can connect with. When you have a Facebook group, make sure that you are consistent with engaging and keep it active. Make it fun for your members!

Being a part of a group also feels exclusive. You can provide them with bite-sized content about your programs or post about an opening slot for a 15-minute discovery call to attract potential clients. If it sparks their interest, they will seek out your services and hire you.

Grow your online presence.

Once you are super clear on your messaging, only then should you create a simple website. It doesn’t have to be fancy. Include basic information such as the name of your business, who you are and what services you offer, contact information, and a link to your socials. You can also add a valuable free download (aka a Freebie) to start growing your email list.

Utilize social media to start building your community and reaching out to potential clients. Once you identify your target audience, use 1 or 2 social media platforms to connect with them. You don’t have to create multiple ones. Create a social media strategy that will help you reach your goals, for example, you can start by building awareness about your brand. Create content that gives value to your audience and that would entice them to seek you out. Make sure it stands out and aligns with your brand. Use relevant hashtags so people can find you faster. Make sure that you are consistent with what you post online and choose quality over quantity.
